Cheese Toastie with Tracklements Fresh Chilli Jam
Ingredients
Makes 1 toastie
2 slices of bread, we recommend fresh sourdough
3 slices of cheddar such as Wookey Hole Cave Aged Cheddar
A large knob of butter
A healthy dollop of award-winning Tracklements Fresh Chilli Jam
How to make it
A bite of this cheese toastie will make you wonder where Tracklements Fresh Chilli Jam has been all your life. Use a strong cheddar cheese such as Wookey Hole Cave Aged Cheddar.
- Spread the Chilli Jam onto one of the slices of bread
- Layer on the cheddar
- Top with the other slice of bread
- Heat a frying pan on a medium heat
- Add the butter until melted but not smoking
- Place the sandwich in the pan for 2-3 minutes until it is golden brown underneath
- Carefully turn the sandwich over and cook again for 2-3 minutes, adding more butter if needed
