Description
What’s it like? Soumaintrain is washed continually in brine and Marc de Bourgogne to give its particular orangey rind. Rich and creamy, Soumaintrain is a wonderous example of French cheese.
Where’s it from? This UNPASTEURISED AOC cheese is imported from Bourgogne, France.
Packaging: Wrapped as a whole round cheese of 400g.

Absolutely beautiful
I’d never heard of this, but it’s a Berthault from Burgundy, so I thought I’d be on safe ground. Oh, was I! Superb….I almost cried when I finished it. Somehow they’ve made an Epoisses type cheese that is slightly less threatening but just as wondrous. It is straight up to two or three in my top five.
